The Lauscha Kugelmarket – an Advent experience in the glass town

For over 30 years, the Lauscha Ball Market has traditionally opened its doors on the 1st and 2nd weekend of Advent and welcomes tens of thousands of visitors to the birthplace of glass Christmas tree decorations.

A unique experience awaits you in the heart of Lauscha, where glass art, tradition and Christmas spirit come together. Numerous attractions are lined up along the Glass Mile, including the Museum of Glass Art, the Hüttenweihnacht in the Elias glassworks and the Christmas manufactory in the Glass Center.

Visitors can experience first-hand how the famous Lauscha Christmas tree decorations are made: Watch glassblowers doing their fascinating work with molten glass or be enchanted by the wide variety of handmade jewelry and glass figurines in the local glass stores. A special highlight is the opportunity to have your individual name ball or a personalized glass heart designed by our glass painter on site.

The ball market is not only an Eldorado for lovers of original Lauscha glass art, but also a place full of enjoyment and conviviality.
